Luxurious Bunny Boarding - 01276 510798

News

It is with much sadness that I lost my lovely Susan. Susan was re-homed from 'Bobtails Rescue' 4 years ago following the Dutch rescue. She had a heart attack mid hop. Susan leaves her son David who is coping well. I hope to bond David with M and Bailey ASAP. She was much loved and will be missed.

The Doe Drop Inn is a wonderful, independent, bunny boarding facility located in Frimley, Surrey near the M3. Located between Junction 3 and 4.

I offer unrivaled accommodation and care, offering your rabbits a home away from home, a great place to holiday whatever the weather.

The Doe Drop Inn  is not a traditional boarding facility.  As you can see from the pictures, I have invested in only the best for your rabbits and you.

The Chalet Inns are very spacious, safe and clean. They offer alll the comforts of home, ideal for your house or garden companion.
VACCINATIONS MY EXPERIENCE MY RATES

WHY  CHOOSE THE DOE DROP INN?

·Space – lots of it -  Your rabbits have their own Inn for the duration of their stay, providing them with space whatever the weather. In addition to the Inn, your bunnies will have supervised access to secure 12ft x 3ft run on the lawn or patio areas - the choice is yours.

Location - the Inns are located in a secluded, shady part of the large garden amongst mature trees and shrubs, catching the early morning sun.

The Inns are enclosed within their own patio area by gates and stylish fencing.
Hanging baskets and a seating area make it a welcoming experience for you too.

Each Inn is very secure with weld mesh internal doors and windows, bolts and padlocks.

·External CCTV is installed in addition to CCTV cameras in each Inn, enabling me to watch and listen to your rabbits day and night.

·Fans and air conditioning units are available for each Inn to ensure your bunnies are kept cool during the hot summer months.

·Electric insect control units and a clean environment ensure mosquitoes and flies are kept to a minimum.

·Radiators with secure fireguards and tubular heaters are available for when the weather turns colder, perfect for keeping house bunnies cosy.

·Radios – house bunnies often like to listen to the days news!

·Lights, toys, litter trays, baskets, blankets, bowls and bottles are all provided.

·Lots of cuddles, love, care and attention - just like being at home!

  MY EXPERIENCE?

·I have many years experience in caring for rabbits.  Your rabbits will be cared for to the best of my skills, knowledge and ability.

·I am a long-serving member of the Rabbit Welfare Association and attend regular conferences to ensure my knowledge is kept up-to-date.

·I am part of a large network of experienced rabbit owners, rescue workers and veterinary personnel, who provide support and advice.

·I support rescue and volunteer for 'Bobtails Rabbit and Guinea Pig Rescue.'

VACCINATIONS are a condition of boarding

Myxomatosis and VHD Vaccination - Certificates must be shown
'Panacur for Rabbits' - Worming treatment to prevent E.C.

·Myxo vaccine should be administered every 6 months.

·VHD vaccine should be administered annually - ask your vet about the new VHD vaccine with fewer reported side effects.

·The vaccines should NEVER be administered together – it is recommended that no other vaccines should be administered within 14 days.

Did you know that rabbits are NOT PROTECTED until 14 days after being vaccinated!

You must wait at least 3 weeks, post vaccination, before you can board your rabbits, here's the reason why
.....a
newly vaccinated rabbit has a compromised immune system, add this to the stress of moving a rabbit (anywhere) can result in a very poorly rabbit.
For this reason, best practice states, that rabbits should not be boarded (or moved anywhere) within 21 days of being vaccinated.

WORMING - It is now recommended that rabbits are wormed four times a year with 'Panacur for Rabbits' to protect against E.C.

COMMENTS FROM OUR GUESTS...

Hello, my name's Ella.

I have stayed at the Doe Drop Inn a couple of times. The Inns are really comfortable and there's even a radio I can listen to when I feel lonely - and I can take my own toys too, and my cardboard box.

I get lots of nice hay and fresh vegetables each day.

I have made a new friend there and she makes sure I'm well looked after while my Mom and Dad are away.

I don't have a bunny friend that lives with me, so I need to be stroked and a lot of fuss made of me - I just love the attention and once I know I can trust someone, I follow them around like a little shadow.

You can see from my picture that I'm a bit of a 'madam' so I do need someone who understands me and at the Doe Drop Inn they do! I'm such a loveable little rogue ……

I can't wait to go and visit again in the summer - Mum has already booked me in!

Ella's photo to follow.

Billy and Buffy - as house bunnies we are a bit soft and it is so nice to have a very special friend at the DDI who makes our holidays a home from home.

We have a heated chalet in winter, superb air conditioning in summer, plates full of fresh vegetables and lots of space to play. We feel absolutely safe and know we are being watched on CCTV- so we are always on our best behaviour!

The DDI sorted out our diet for us and recommended a fantastic vet who helped Buffy (a little girl) with some terrible dirty bottom problems. She repaired her unusual teeth and gave her a tummy tuck last year (not cosmetic surgery I hasten to add). The difference is amazing and Buffy is now an incredibly content and happy rabbit. We love the Doe Drop Inn and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Our mum and dad now take holidays! Gillian.

Dylan loved his May stay at the DDI and made himself at home immediately, he loved all the attention, the massive box of hay to leap in, numerous toys and fresh food. He'd had so much fun that he completely ignored us when we picked him up to take him home. The photo is of Dylan with his dad.

Sadly, after a short illness and a huge battle to save him, this August Dylan died, aged only one. He will be very much missed. He had become one of the family with a love of raisins, all objects that made a loud noise and chewing cardboard boxes.

We would like to thank the DDI for all their help and advise over the past year, and listening to all our worries, also a mention to Delia and Jim at Bobtails as Dylan was a rescue bunny- keep up the good work. Clare & Barry

We (Molly and Barnaby)stayed at DDI over the summer and can't wait to go back. It's excellent there - loads of space in the spacious chalets, heating and cooling when required and really clean. The best thing is the food, lots of fresh vegetables.. Our health really improved during our 6 week stay and our owners were really impressed with how good we looked when they picked us up. Our owners are quite fussy and will only give us the best. We've been on holiday there a few times now and we're pestering them to book us in again soon. Janet

Remember me, (Benny) I'm a reformed rabbit since my stay with you, I love eating my greens. No more rabbit mix or treats for me, I'm on the healthy stuff now. Thanks for looking after me, I'd like to come again soon. Andy and family.

Could you give a 'forever home' to a rabbit or guinea pig in a rescue centre?

Last year over 35,000 rabbits were in rescue centres across the UK.

Please contact your local centre to discuss adopting an animal.

If you are unable to offer a home, could you volunteer or sponsor an animal in need?

Please take a look at Bobtails Rescue, and
The Rabbit Welfare Association/Fund.
